Work on it

It doesn’t matter what it is. If you want it to get better or get easier then you simply have to work on it. Sports require that we work on it. Family relationships require that we work on it. Life requires that we work on it. All of this working on it can be draining over time. When we are busy working on it we can clearly make out our next goal. When we stop working on it we are deciding that the effort isn’t worth it. Of course, there is always the idea that enough work is enough work and you are where you are.

No matter how hard we continue to work on it, there is always the next goal to achieve and the next step to take. When we work on it indefinitely we often feel like we are not meeting our self imposed goals. When we start to get frustrated, whether it is family, life, sport, or even fun, we are much more apt to let go of a goal than if we continue our work. Some people are able to hold fast to a dream and continue to work on it like never before. This type of dedication is rare and you can only opt to work on it forever if it really means something to you. Eventually, most people give up on the goal in exchange for what they believe will turn into a better quality of life.

Work on it, examine it, and decide for yourself. We only have so much energy to spread around and we can only ask the best of ourselves over miracles. Sometimes, no matter how hard you are willing to work on it, the rest of the people who need to match your efforts stopped working on it years before.
